Allergen control at home

Reducing allergen exposure at home needs a combined approach to the bed and the rest of the house. Vacuuming alone does not remove mites from beds or carpets, they hang on with all ten legs! Allergens deep in a mattress will not be removed by suction at the surface. The only scientific studies to show clinical benefit have included covers which totally enclose the mattress. But other studies which have only used bedcovers without addressing allergens elsewhere have also failed.
